Intent-aware adaptive control and learning for safe physical collaboration between humans and autonomous robot teams.
AIAS LabPurdue University Northwest
This research develops intent-aware control and learning methods that allow autonomous robots to infer human objectives and coordinate their actions during shared physical tasks. The framework combines human intent estimation, cooperative control, game-theoretic decision making, and safety-aware adaptation.
Applications include cooperative manipulation, assistive robotics, human-guided multi-robot systems, and physical human–robot interaction where autonomy must adapt to changing human behavior without compromising safety.
